Separatist leader Altaf Ahmad Shah passed away at AIIMS, New Delhi early this morning .
His daughter Ruwa Shah said in a tweet said “ Abu breathed his last at AIIMS, New Delhi. As a prisoner.”
Altaf Shah was in jail for the past over four years . He was suffering from renal cancer .
Shah was arrested by the NIA in 2018, along with several other separatist leaders, in an alleged terror funding case and was lodged in Delhi’s Tihar jail.
