Delhi : Aijaz Ahmed Zargar, Senior Superintendent of Police, a member of Jammu and Kashmir Police Service of 2004 batch, has been conferred the prestigious Police Medal for Meritorious Service by the Hon’ble President of India on the eve of Republic Day 2023. He is one amongst the eleven other officers from Jammu and Kashmir to receive the prestigious award. The officer has performed on various important positions especially Dy. SP Leh, Dy. SP Doda, Additional SP Kulgam and Samba. Having Masters Degree in Geography from University of Jammu, the officer has earlier been conferred with the DGP’s Medal (Twice), Police Medal for Gallantry (Thrice) and Jammu and Kashmir Police Medal for Gallantry (Thrice).
