The Amarnath Yatra, which has not been held for the last two years due to the Corona epidemic, will resume this year. Arrangements are almost complete, for which all the security forces have been deployed on the Yatra route. Among them are Army, CRPF, Border Security Force and Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel.

Meanwhile, work is being carried out at Baltal Base Camp these days by the employees and other laborers on the instructions of the officers of all the concerned departments ,the Department of Power, Forestry, Food and Supplies, Fire and Emergency. According to them, all this work is expected to be completed in the coming days.

It is pertinent to note that the government has already announced that around eight lakh pilgrims are expected to arrive this year.

The central governments decision to remove article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir in 2019  yatra was stoped mid way. Also, the Yatra could not be held in 2021 and 2022 due to Corona epidemic. This yatra is taking place for the first time after the removal of article 370 and the division of Jammu and Kashmir
