Doda, September 28:

After witnessing rise in Corona virus cases during the last week, Doda district has seen sudden decrease in cases as Rapid testing camps have disappeared.
The district administration doesn’t seem to be interested in holding camps for rapid testing in the district and testing in hospitals have also come down.
Sources told JK News Today that dip in the cases is not because administration is on offensive against the virus and have taken steps to address the issue but no more testing is done to get the actual number of cases. “Today only 11 positive cases were shown in front of Doda district column in the list issued by the government whereas during past two weeks the number was over 100 for many days. This was because rapid testing camps were held in all over the district including few rural areas. But now such camps have disappeared and no more testing is being done. Even if anybody comes for re testing in the hospital, it is not easy to get the testing done,” said a source.
The source added that administration has lifted the lock down in Doda and Bhaderwah towns after protests by traders and with that rapid testing also disappeared. “There seems to be connection in both these things as administration was not happy with protests by traders,” he added.
With this uncertainty has prevailed in the district as people are not able to differentiate between corona positive and negative people.
