Jammu, December 07: The Supreme Court has notified that it will deliver verdict on Article 370 on Monday ( December 11) .
The verdict has great constitutional significance as it would determine validity or otherwise of the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019. A constitutional bench of the Supreme Court Court had heard petitions challenging revocation of Article 370 for over a month beginning August 2, 2023.
The Constitution bench of the Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and comprising Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Sanjiv Khanna, B BR Gavai, and Surya Kant, had reserved the judgement in the matter on 5 September 2023 after hearing it for sixteen long days.
