Srinagar, August 17: Within 24 hours of the announcement of J&K Assembly polls , senior leader and former minister Taj Mohi-Ud- Din quit G N Azad led DPAP and rejoined his parent party – Congress.
Taj confirmed his departure from Azad’s party , saying that DPAP was neither here and there, so he decided to quit the party, and joined Congress.
He said that Azad’s coziness with BJP was causing problems for the secular beliefs and credentials of leaders like him.
He is planning to contest the Assembly polls from Uri.
