One terrorist was killed and a soldier injured in a gun battle in a village in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday.
The encounter that started this morning after security forces laid a cordon in Dobian area in Shopian , a hub of the terrorist activities is continuing , according to police sources.
Special operation group of the state police and army were involved in the encounter with hiding militants, whose exact number is not known as yet.
One terrorist was killed, while a soldier received bullet injury
“ As the cordon was being laid, militants opened fire which was duly retaliated triggering an encounter. So far one militant has been killed,” an army officer said. “One soldier has been injured and he has been evacuated.”
