Terrorists opened fire on security forces in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. ANI reported that terrorists also snatched a rifle from a security personnel. As per the latest reports, the area has been cordoned off. No casualties have been reported in the attack. Meanwhile, more details are awaited.

On Monday, terrorists hurled a grenade at a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) party at Sherbagh in Anantnag district. Three CRPF personnel had sustained injuries in the attack launched by the terrorists.

On May 23, six civilians were injured in the grenade attack at Bijbehara town of Anantnag district. Two days later, two policemen and a civilian were injured in a similar attack at a bus stand on Jammu’s BC road.

Meanwhile, an intelligence agency has warned that Pakistan based terror groups — Lashkar-a-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) are planning to launch Pathankot style attack on India, a report said. The terrorists will target Indian Naval Base and for this, they are being given underwater attack training and deep sea techniques to attack the Navy, it was claimed.
