Jammu, 03 October, 2026: A remarkable achievement has been made in the month of September under the special drive being conducted to strengthen ticket checking and curb ticketless / irregular travel over Jammu Division.
An intensive ticket checking drive was conducted by the Ticket Checking Squad of the Division from 01.09.2026 to 30.09.2026. During this period, a total of 6617 cases were registered, from which an income of Rs. 48,88,890/- was received as railway revenue.
These cases also include cases of irregular tickets along with smoking and littering in station premises and trains.
Under the leadership of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Jammu, this drive was conducted at all major stations of the division including Jammu Tawi, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Udhampur, Pathankot Cantt. and in various trains.
Jammu Division appeals to its esteemed passengers to travel with proper tickets only, not to smoke in the station premises and to maintain cleanliness. Travelling without ticket, smoking and littering is a punishable offence.
