Security forces on Wednesday said that they have killed top Lashkar-e-Toiba commander in Bomai village near Sopore in North Kashmir.
“Top LeT commander Abu Bhakr killed in seven hour long encounter. he was active in the sopore area since long time,” said senior police official.

One AK 47 Rifle and other arms have been recovered from encounter site. The security forces have not called off the operation and intense searches are going on.
A siege was laid around Bomai village after reports of top LeT militant hiding there. The fire fight between holed up militant and security forces started today morning and lasted for about seven hours.
The authorities had suspended the mobile telephony and internet services to prevent rumour spreading.
Earlier today morning  an engineer turned militant was killed after a brief gunfight near highway town of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
The slain militant was identified as Sameer Ahmad Dar, alias Basit, son of Gulam Rasool Dar resident of Marhama, Bijbehara.
