Jammu, 29th August 2026: Keeping in view the convenience of passengers and devotees of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Northern Railway, Jammu Division has taken a major passenger-friendly decision.
Train No. 04688/04687 has now been restored between Budgam (BDGM) to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (SVDK) with effect from 29th August. This train will run on its regular route from 29.08.2026.
The time-table of the train will be as follows:
Train No. 04688 (Budgam to Katra)
Departure from Budgam – 07:20 AM*
Arrival at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – 01:00 PM
Train No. 04687 (Katra to Budgam)
Departure from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – 01:45 PM*
Arrival at Budgam – 08:00 PM
With the restoration of this train, residents of the Kashmir Valley, students, employees and pilgrims visiting Mata Vaishno Devi will get direct benefit. This service will prove to be an important link connecting the Valley with the Jammu region.
