The J&K police and army have neutralized two top Al-Badr terrorists in Khanmoh encounter near Srinagar on Monday recording yet another success in its fight against terrorism in Kashmir.
The encounter had started in the morning on the basis of the inputs gathered by the J&K police and it lasted for almost two hours before the two terrorists were killed . The terrorists were appealed to surrender but they fired at the forces instead. Director General of Police Dilbag Singh said that the continuing operations against the terrorists are guided by two fundamental principles ( a) terrorism would not be allowed to grow in Kashmir in any manifestation , though ample opportunity has been, and would be given for the terrorists to surrender and join the normal life. Secondly, he said, the purpose is to lift the fear among the people , who are getting harassed by the terrorism and want to lead a normal life.
Dilbag said that the people are already facing difficulty due to the pandemic caused by Coronavirus and terrorists were causing multiple problems .” The police is performing its duty to fight terrorism to ease life of people.”
DGP complimented forces for this success and their efforts in conducting clean operations without causing any collateral damage .
