Two soldiers were killed and four others wounded in Pakistan shelling in Naugam sector of Kupwara district on Thursday.
An army spokesman said that Pakistan resorted to heavy shelling in Naugam sector in Kupwara district this morning in clear violation of ceasefire.
“Pakistan initiated an unprovoked Ceasefire Violation along LoC in Naugam Sector, Kupwara today morning by firing mortars & other weapons,” the spokesman said.
He said two soldiers suffered fatalities, four others were injured.
“ Befitting response is being given”, he said
