Akhnoor : 23 Nov 2023: In a joint search operation with the Army andJ&K Police conducted in the early hours of 23 Nov 23, security forces have recovered 01 Turkey made Pistol with 02 Magazines, 38 live rounds, 9 Grenades and 01 battery operated IED in Joarian region of Akhnoor sector which was dropped through a quadcopter flown from across the Line of Control.
Based on the inputs from troops deployed in the forward areas of having heard quadcopter noise, a joint search operation was conducted by the Police and Army in the vicinity of Laukikhad bridge. At about 7 AM, a package along with dropping string was recovered. This has been one of the biggest haul of quadcopter dropped War Like Stores in the Akhnoor sector which is aimed to revive terrorism in Rajouri and Akhnoor sectors of Jammu and Kashmir.
Indian Army and security forces are committed in thwarting inimical designs of the adversary and continue to play an important role in the regional security for the development of Jammu and Kashmir.
