Jammu, December 23:
Veteran Congress leader and former minister and member parliament Madan Lal Sharma passed away early this morning , according to family sources.
He breathed his last at Narayana hospital where he was admitted for treatment of Covid few days ago.
Madan Lal Sharma who had started his political career after having served in the army was elected to the legislative Assembly several times and also served a minister of state in the coalition government of National Conference-Congress, and later cabinet minister in Mufti-Mohammad Sayeed led PDP-Congress coalition government from 2002 to 2004 before he fought and won the parliamentary election in 2004.
Throughout his career , he stayed loyal to Congress.
His death has been widely mourned in the political circles.
