Jammu, June 20:

PDP”s youth wing president Waheed Parra, currently in NIA custody , is being shifted to Srinagar from Jammu on Sunday evening, two days after he was taken to Jammu from the summer capital.

This is an interesting development seen against the backdrop of the release of Sartaj Madni PDP’s senior leader and uncle of party president Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday.

These two developments are interlinked and have made the things quite interesting ahead of the June 24 All-Party meet on Kashmir in New Delhi .

Mehbooba Mufti has been advocating strongly for the release of Waheed Parra and all other political prisoners in Jammu and Kashmir.

The informed sources said that it is not certain whether Parra would be released or not but it is nevertheless important that he is being shifted back to Srinagar after two days in Jammu.

Mehbooba is among the top invitees , both as PDP chief and former Chief minister
However, she has not decided whether she would be attending the meeting or not , though she has been authorized by the PAC of her party to take a final call on this.

She would be waiting for the deliberations and discussions and outcome of the meeting of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration, better known by its short name PAGD, which is scheduled for Tuesday May 22, the sources said.
