The Department of Drugs and Food Control Organization led by Commissioner Shakeel-ul-Rehman today tested water samples of Jammu city on request of consumers. Six samples provided by the consumers from different parts of Jammu city were “declared as fit for consumption as per parameters Tested.”
The samples were tested in a special drive with a Mobile Food Testing Van that carries out on the spot testing of the quality of drinking water. The Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) level ranged from 240 mg/lt to 310 mg/lt. The acceptable level is around 500 mg/lt
The Commissioner Food & Drugs Control Organization Shakeel-ul-Rehman has appealed to the Consumer for optimum utilization of the service of “Mobile Food Testing Vans, Which can reach “their doorstep to carry out on the spot testing of food articles on demand to ensure quality.”
