No major weather activity is expected. Early morning monsoon showers are possible in parts of the Jammu region, while thundershowers may develop over a few places across J&K during the late afternoon and evening.
30 July:
Scattered rain showers are likely at some places in J&K, with the highest chances over the Jammu region. No significant weather activity is anticipated overall.
31 July – 02 August:
Intermittent rain showers are expected across parts of Jammu & Kashmir. However, continuous rainfall is not expected, and it may not rain everywhere every day.
Important Advisory:
- Although prolonged rainfall is not expected, there remains a very high risk of flash floods due to intense localised downpours. Isolated cloudburst events cannot be ruled out.
- Thunderstorms may be accompanied by lightning strikes. Avoid taking shelter under trees, standing near electric poles, or remaining close to other tall isolated objects during thunderstorm activity.
- Landslides and shooting stones remain possible in vulnerable hilly areas.
