Congress has questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi as to what has been achieved by the November 8 demonetization except for inflicting unbearable pain to the 1.25 billion people of the country.
In a scathing attack on Prime Minister whose idea of scrapping of old Rs 500 and Rs.1000 notes has shaken the Indian economy and left millions of people to struggle to draw their own money from banks , AICC General Secretary Ambika Soni told media here at a press conference, “ Modi ji owes an answer as to why did he do all this .”
“ We are sure that there was a widespread corruption and scam in the whole exercise,” she said . “ Our leader Rahul Gandhi has presented an irrefutable evidence and Modi ji is mum on the questions raised by him . That shows clearly that there is some foul play,” she said .
Ambika is on tour of Jammu and Kashmir, where the party has raised a pitch against demonetization to target the Prime Minister whose announcements regarding the money regulation have left the common people suffering since November 8 night.
