JAMMU: Apni Trade Union President Ajaz Kazmi today urged the Govt to withdraw an order that bans Govt employees from participating in the peaceful protest demonstration in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement issued to the press, Ajaz Kazmi appealed to the Govt to withdraw the order that has imposed a blanket ban on the participation of the Govt employees in the peaceful protests while warning them of strict action.

“Such orders shall not be imposed in Jammu and Kashmir and the Govt employees who are the backbone of the Govt functioning shall be provided stage to highlight their issues before the authorities and their issues like implementation of minimum wage act in J&K, regularization of daily wagers, release of pending wagers of the daily wagers and restoration of Old Age Pension in favour of the permanent Govt employees/officers,” he said in response to the ban imposed by the authorities on the Govt employees.

He however condemned the Govt directions and said that such decisions snatch basic rights of the Govt employees.
