Jammu, june 14: Today on 14-06-2025, District Hospital Reasi commemorated World Blood Donor’s Day in collaboration with the Red Cross Society Reasi, following the initiatives outlined by the Worthy District Development Commissioner, Reasi, under the directions from Worthy District Development Commissioner, Reasi The event was orchestrated under the direction of Dr. Abdul Hamid Zarger, Director Health Services Jammu, and supervised by Chief Medical Officer Reasi, Dr. Mohd Ashraf Kholi. “World Blood Donor’s Day” was organized at District Hospital Reasi based on the theme “Give blood, give hope, together we save lives.” under the guidance of Dr. Gopal Dutt (Medical Superintendent District Hospital Reasi)
The program commenced with a warm welcome address for the attendees, Mr. Rakesh Kumar (JKAS), Worthy Additional Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, was Chief Guest, along with Mr. Kuldeep Khajuria District Executive Secretary, District Red Cross Society, Reasi who was Guest of Honor and Dr. Usha Kiran District Immunization Officer, Reasi.
The event featured engaging presentations by Dr. Aneesha Gupta & Dr. Swati Mahajan, alongside inspiring talks from student speakers from the Government Nursing College Reasi and Mr. Kuldeep Khajuria District Executive Secretary, District Red Cross Society, Reasi also shared motivational thoughts related to World Blood Donor’s Day. Dr. Gopal Dutt (Medical Superintendent District Hospital Reasi) provided a briefing on emphasizing the importance of blood donation, followed by Dr. Usha Kiran District Immunization Officer, Reasi, who highlights important aspects First, it is an opportunity to express gratitude for those who voluntarily choose to donate blood. Second, raises awareness about importance of regular blood Donation highlighting the essential role blood donors play in saving lives and fostering community bonds. The Program was hosted by Smt. Kumari Mamta JSN
At the conclusion of the celebration, certificates of appreciation were distributed among the volunteers who participated in the blood donation drive. A total of 25 dedicated individuals donated blood at the District Hospital Reasi.
The program was managed by the Administration of District Hospital Reasi. The celebration concluded with a gathering of attendees, including Sh. Naresh Kumar (Senior Pharmacist), consultants, doctors, paramedical staff, volunteers, and Staff from District Hospital Reasi.
