Jammu, Sep 26: On the eve of “World Environmental Health Day,” District Hospital Reasi organized a significant event centered on the theme “Environmental Health: Creating Resilient Communities through Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation.” The event was held under the guidance of Dr. Gopal Dutt, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Reasi.
The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Gopal Dutt, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Reasi, who provided an insightful overview of the aims and objectives behind the celebration of “World Environmental Health Day.” He emphasized the importance of environmental health in building resilient communities. Followed by students from the Government Nursing College Reasi took the stage to share their insights on various aspects of “World Environmental Health Day.” Their presentations highlighted critical issues related to environmental health and community resilience.
Other participants present on the occasion were Sh. Naresh Kumar Sharma (Senior. Pharmacist) Dr. Heena Dogra (Physiotherapist), Mr. Sumit Sawhney (Data Assistant), and other staff Member of District Hospital Reasi. The event was hosted by Smt. Oshin Soni (JSN), who ensured the smooth flow of the program. To conclude the ceremony, Dr. Gopal Dutt delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, on this occasion.
At the conclusion of the event, certificates were distributed to the students from the Government Nursing College Reasi in acknowledgment of their contributions during the event. After that a plantation drive was held in the premises of District Hospital Reasi, promoting environmental awareness and community involvement.
