Reasi, April, 2024: World Malaria Day was organized in collaboration between District Hospital, Reasi & Principal Government Nursing College, Reasi under the theme Accelerate the Fight Against Malaria for a more equitable world. The main aim to celebrate this day was to create awareness among the community for its prevention early diagnosis and treatment so that we can minimize the burden of Malaria from our country. Smt. Oshin Soni, Junior Staff Nurse presented a detailed preview of the Malaria, its signs and symptoms, prevention, Diagnosis & Treatment.

On this occasion, Senior Consultant Physician, District Hospital Reasi (Dr. Rakesh Raina) told that despite the efforts being taken by WHO to minimize the burden of the disease still Malaria remains a serious global health challenge that takes its heaviest toll on the most vulnerable population including young children leaving in the poorest households, slum areas, pregnant women, refugees, migrants are the people having highest risk of developing Malaria, so we have to develop a multi pronged strategy as per
the guide lines of WHO for the prevention of Malaria so that in the coming years we can manage to minimize the disease from our community. Those who were present on the occasion Smt.
