Two rounds completed in both Men and Women section in ongoing J&K UT Chess Championship 2021 here at International Delhi public school , Sunjwan, Jammu. In the battle of minds between the selected players from all the corners of J&K there is very keen interest shown by youth. Many young players from valley visited the venue to see the matches of the senior players to learn various tactics. Players highly appreciated the state of Art , Unique and very beautiful Centre of chess Excellence developed by IDPS school where the current UT Chess Championship is going on.
In the Senior open section 4 players Meenal Gupta, Soham Kamotra,Ashutosh Jamwal were leading at 2 points each While in Senior women section Alankrita sharma, arushi kotwal, Meenal Gupta and Srujanika Gupta were leading at 2 points each. Remaining rounds will be played tomorrow . Other categories events will start tomorrow at same venue. The event is organized by All J&K Chess Association under the Aegis of J&K Sports Council. All Matches were conducted by Vivek Bharti with the support of Arshid ahmad and others with swiss software as per International rules.
Atul Kumar Gupta President All J&K Chess Association declared open today’s matches along with Gen. Secy AJKCA Arshid ahmad and Sr. Vice President A.R.Wani.
