Three persons were charred to death and six others injured seriously when the Jhuggis they were living in Narwal caught massive fire past last midnight.
According to Dy.SP of Narwal Area Chandan Kohli The jhuggis were made by labourers on a private land in Narwal. “According to preliminary investigations the fire was caused by short circuiting of electric wires and spread to about 50 jhuggis in no time.”
Fire tenders could hardly save anything
The fire spread fast as the jhuggis were made of polythene and wood planks — both highly inflammable materials. All the belongings of the labourers were reduced to ashes in the fire.
