Lucknow, August 12:

A painful road accident took place in Anand district of Gujarat on Thursday. Six people have died in a triple accident near Dali village of Sojitra tehsil of Anand district. It is being told that three people are members of the same family in this.

Four people died on the spot in a fierce collision between a car, an auto rickshaw and a bike, while two people died on the way to the hospital. At the same time, one person has been injured in the accident, who is admitted to the hospital for treatment. Please tell that the family members were returning after celebrating the festival of Rakshabandhan.

District Superintendent of Police Ajit Rajian said Kirit Padhiar was allegedly driving the SUV. After the accident, he left the car and fled from the spot. But later he was caught. The deceased have been identified as Jiyaben Mistri (14) and Janviben Mistri (17), resident of Navagadh village in Sojitra, their mother Vinaben Mistri (44), Yasan Vohra (38), an autorickshaw driver, Yogesh Od (20) and Sandeep Od (19), residents of Anand.

Local police officials said that the deceased were residents of Sojitra and Boriyavi villages in the district. SP Rajian said that a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder will be registered against the driver of the SUV under Section 304 of the Indian Penal Code.
