People rued non availability of Ambulance services in Kahara area

Six persons including three women were today injured in a tragic Tata Sumo accident near Bathri on Thatri-Gundow Road in Doda District of Jammu Province.
Four critically injured persons were shifted to GMC Doda for advance treatment.
As per the details available with “JKNT” the driver of the ill fated vehicle bearing Registration No. JK06-4862 lost the control over his speedy vehicle as a result of which it fell into a deep Gorge near Bathri.
After hearing about the accident, police party led by Incharge Police Post Kahara Sub Inspector Mukhtyar Ahmed and local youths immediately rush to spot and started rescue operation to brought the injured out of the ill fated vehicle that completely mingled.
In absence of the availability of an Ambulance that fail to reach the spot, Police take the help locals vehicle to shift the injured to Thatri Trauma Center from where four critically injured persons were shifted to GMC Doda for further Treatment.
Speaking to JKNT Muddasir Ali Khan said that unfortunately Ambulance sanctioned for PHC Malanoo and Kahara did not reach at the spot as both the Ambulances were shifted to some other places as a result of which during accident time- which is a routine thing on Thatri-Gundow road that has claimed dozens of life in recent months.
He said that on inquiry from the health officials, they told them that one Ambulance has been taken to Doda on the directions of CMO Doda for some repairment work while another ambulance has been kept by BMO Gundow with himself this keeping the people in lurch. He said that after repeated attempts even 108 Ambulance fail to report at the spot forcing the I/C PP Kahara to arrange the private vehicles to carry the injured to nearest Hospitals and for further Treatmet at GMC DODA.
Another local youth Mohsin Jamal said that hundreds of time he and the local people requested the Administration to kept the Ambulance of PHC Malanoo stationed at the hospital,but Jamal said that it is almost a years now the said Ambulance is on repairing at Workshop.
He said that he had a fight with the officials several time in past and even faces police action for raising his voice added that people of Kahara area has been kept at the mercy of the God as local health system has totally crumbled in the area and for minor health related issues, the people had to travel either to Doda or Kishtwar.
“Many local youths had even complained at Governor Grievance cell- but the reply is almost same that Ambulance of PHC Malanoo is on unending repairing mission” asked Muddasir Ali Khan.
The locals appreciated the role of police for their Commendable Job for immediate shifting of the injured persons to hospital.
The injured who are under treatment at Trauma Hospital Thatri had been identified as Muzzafar Hussain (28 yrs) Son of Sher Zaman R/o Drarori Gundow, Talib Hussain (32 yrs) Son of Mohammad Mussa R/o Tundlar Gundow (Driver of the vehicle) while four injured persons who were referred to GMC Doda has been identified as Hajra Begum (55 yrs) Wife of Abdul Rasheed Haji R/o Putan Gundow, Zarina Begum (30 yrs) Wife of Shakeel Ahmed, Shakeel Ahmed (35 yrs) Son of Mohammad Yousaf both Resident of Nagni Gundow and Hashma Begum (60 yrs) Wife of Mohammad Akbar R/o Chamoti Gundow.
