Jammu, September 28: Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today celebrated shaheed Bhagat Singh’s birth anniversary at MAM College and Central University.

A blood donation camp was also organised at MAM College to mark the celebration in which 39 students donated blood under the aegis of ABVP. DIG Jammu Kashmir Police Ashqoor Wani was the chief guest on the occasion and Dr. Sawney HOD Blood Department GMC Jammu and Principal of MAM college Ramesh Chander were also present.

Ganesh Kunde ABVP Jammu Mahanagar Organising Secretary, said that ABVP is working in the field of education since 1949 to promote nationalism among the students and to provide a nationalistic platform to the students.

He also appreciates the initiate of ABVP MAM College Unit organising blood donation camp in the campus on the eve of birth anniversary of shaheed Bhagat Singh.

DIG asserts that campuses are the nurseries of creating citizens that are committed for the nation as well as the society . He further appreciates the ABVP’s initiative of organising the camp and appeals the students to donate bloods on the name of martyrs.

Dr. Sawney and principal of MAM college also Ramesh Chander also motivated the students and teachers to donate blood .

ABVP MAM Unit was also announced on the occasion by ABVP Jammu Mahanagar Secretary in which Ankul Bhagat was nominated as President Sachin Salaria as Secretary.

ABVP Unit of Central University Jammu also celebrated birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh 109th birth anniversary in the presence of central universities incharge  Rajinder kumar.

while interacting with the  gathering  central university president Vikram Singh  Jamwal said “We not only gathered here for celebration but we have to walk on path shown by Shaheed Bhagat Singh, now it is time for serve the nation not only with our blood but with our mind and intelligence.”

Joint secretary, G M Ali, Narinder , Chandar, Anubhav, Nitish, Sambyal, Sahil padha, Deepali, Puneet kumar, Abha, Dhiman, Deepika, Taniya among many others were present on the occasion.
