Apni Trade Union President Ajaz Kazmi has strongly condemned the police action against the peacefully protesting NHM employees and their subsequent arrest.

To express their senior concern over the situation, a meeting was organized at Apni Party Office in Gandhi Nagar which was chaired by President Apni Trade Union Ajaz Kazmi in which Provincial President Jammu Raj Kumar Sharma and District President Jammu, Anirudh Vasist and others were present.

The meeting expressed their anguish over the targeting of the NHM employees who were protesting peacefully demanding their continuation in the service.

In his address, Kazmi condemned the police action against the NHM employees and demanded immediate release of the detained persons. He said that the police have used lathi charge to disperse the protesting NHM employees and detained them accordingly in an unjustified manner.

He said that the Govt should accept genuine demands of the NHM employees who have worked during covid19 lockdown in the last two years when entire J&K was in lockdown.

“They risked their lives to protect the society and hence, the Govt in reorganization of their services should regularize their services in the health department,” he said.

Later, a delegation of the Apni Party visited the DPL Jammu and met the injured NHM employees who were under police detention. Kazmi informed that the female employees of NHM were thrashed by the police in which they have suffered injury marks.

He has strongly condemned the physical assault of the NHM employees and demanded action against the police personnel involved in the act.

The Apni Party delegation includes State General Secretary Youth Wing, Abhay Bakaya, State Coordinator Sunny Kant Chib, Provincial Vice President Joginder Singh Youth Wing, Provincial Secretary Youth Suhail Khajuria and Vishal Jyotshi, Raj Sharma Provincial President trade Union, District President Trade Union Anirudh Vaishist, District Senior Vice President Sandeep Vaid, District Organizational Secretary Archana Koul and others.
