Jammu, January 12: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday urged the Gujarati industrialists and business leaders to invest in Jammu and Kashmir to mainstream it in core of the Indian nationhood.
Home Minister made this passionate appeal Global at Vibrant Gujarat event in Ahmedabad. He said that they should invest in Kashmir to realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream to mainstream the Valley .
J&K has seen a turnaround in he situation after the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019. It has come out of shadows of terrorism and is fast running toward self reliance and normalcy in ever increasing landscape of peace. Home Minister is looking after affairs of the UT of J&K, seeking to transform it holistically.
Speaking at the Global Vibrant Gujarat Summit, the Union Home Minister appealed to industrialists in Gujarat to expand their businesses in the northern part of the country, and Kashmir in particular.
“I would like to tell Gujarati industrialists, in case they want to expand towards the north, then please invest in Kashmir. By doing so, please support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative in mainstreaming Kashmir,” Shah said in his address, with Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha in the audience.
