Union Home Minister Amit Shah while paying rich tributes to the policemen who made supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on Police Commemoration Day on Wednesday assured each and every police personnel across the country that the Modi Government is committed to work tirelessly for the well-being of their families and no effort would be big enough to do so.

Amit Shah ‘s commitment on behalf of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government of which he is a shining star for his invaluable contribution in contributing to internal security and fobbing off many threats of terrorism , was an inspiring message for the policemen across all the states and union territories .

Such inspiring messages encourage the policemen to do more , and it was evident that his being Home Minister made the police across the country to fight as a frontline force in enabling an effective fight against the Corona virus that his India in a more surprising and shocking ways as it did the rest of the world . While performing their duty in assisting the people in combating the killer virus , 343 policemen sacrificed their lives . This contribution of police must have saved thousands of lives ; therefore this contribution was no less than their original duties of maintaining law and order and fighting terrorists and criminals .

The Home Minister also recalled that 264 personnel made supreme sacrifice while performing their duties . What he meant was that police’s role has transformed from maintaining law and order and solving the crime cases , its work has been stretched to fighting terrorism, narco-terrorism , human trafficking and strengthening the security network at the frontiers .

When Home Minister extended the assurance of more measures for safeguarding the security and welfare of their families , he was speaking for an indebted nation of 13 billion people who recognise and salute the supreme sacrifices of the policemen.
