Srinagar, September 12: The army chief Gen. Upendra Dwivedi has arrived in Srinagar to review security situation in the Valley, with a particular focus on South Kashmir , ahead of first phase of polling for Assembly polls in J&K beginning September 18.
The security situation has become a major concern in J&K because of some horrendous terror attacks in erstwhile Doda district and south Kashmir.
Gen. Dwivedi will also take stock of situation along the LoC where Pakistan has been making attempts to infiltrate terrorists .
