With the objective of increasing awareness regarding various health issues arising due to seasonal changes and the on coming winter months, Army organised a lecture on “Prevention of Winter Diseases” at village Mandirgala in Rajouri district, today.
The lecture was delivered by the Medical Officer of the Army. Approximately 50 people of the area took advantage of this golden opportunity and attended the lecture with full zeal and enthusiasm.
The locals were sensitized about health problems like respiratory diseases, skin problems, chilblains and other illness due to extreme cold weather. The doctor also explained various preventive measures to keep such diseases at bay. Participants were also made aware of simple measures that can help in boosting their health in winters.
The Army doctor interacted with the locals and answered all the queries related to health issues. The locals were grateful for the medical awareness provided by the Army which will go a long way in prevention of winter related ailments. A resident of the village said, “It is a positive initiative taken by the Army for the benefit of the locals”.
