In first of its kind initiative of the City Beautiful, ASSOCHAM in partnership with UT Administration, Chandigarh is organizing Chandikrit Industrial Excellence Awards & Expo of Chandigarh from March 26 to March 30, 2021 on a virtual platform. These awards will recognize and reward excellence in industrial sector of Chandigarh and to help give companies a distinct competitive advantage with regards to international opportunities.

Sharing his views, Yashpal Garg, IAS, Secretary, Industries, Chandigarh Administration said,‘‘ Chandikrit will give recognition to the industry and support  industry to come at par with international standards of manufacturing best quality products and help in providing quality and competitive services to the consumers. We believe Chandigarh has the potential to emerge as the industrial hub from North India. I would like to invite our industrialists to send in their nominations and be part of first Industrial Excellence Awards & Expo of Chandigarh and support this initiative”

AS Mittal, Chairman, ASSOCHAM Northern Region shared, “Chandigarh has the true potential to play a key role in building growth momentum of the North India, by being a hub of innovation, new businesses and becoming the research and development centre for industries in this region. I congratulate the Chandigarh Administration for announcement of ChandiKrit Industrial Excellence Awards & Expo with ASSOCHAM. This initiative will chart new pathways for holistic growth and sustainable development of industries in Chandigarh.”

Deepak Sood, Secretary General, ASSOCHAM shared, ”India has potential to become an established economic power, the same has been reaffirmed by the recent announcement of IMF regarding the projected GDP of India for 2021-22, and in doing so MSMEs would play a vital role and contributing in the growth of economy. I am affirmed that ChandiKrit will give a leg up to MSME’s in the UT, Chandigarh.

Kulwin Seehra, Chairman, ASSOCHAM Regional Committee on MSME further added, ‘‘ASSOCHAM is reinforcing its commitment towards being the voice of Indian industry. Industries in Chandigarh need a required boost to showcase their competitiveness on global platform and compete against the global competition. I am sure ChandiKrit will become an annual forum where industrialists from every sector of Chandigarh will join hands to celebrate the achievements of each other and showcase our strength.”

Key areas of discussions will be focused on access to financial services to manage risks, trending analysis of lending vis-à-vis available options & interventions. Technical Session will focus creating a competitive business environment.
