Parts f hilly districts of Kishtwar and Ramban in the Chenab Valley are in the grip of high tensions because of the two communally driven incidents in Jammu city and Reasi over the couple of days.
The police have gone in for extra vigil in Banihal in Ramban district that lies adjacent to the Kashmir Valley , and also Kishtwar , to keep an eye on the potential trouble makers .
Police sources confirmed that some elements were trying to cause trouble in the hilly region because of the vigilante incident in Reasi and blasphemous expressions in Jammu city. This has caused a lot of resentment in a particular community hurt by these verbal and physical attacks on their community members.
In the case of Jammu city, the police have arrested seven people, including a leader of Rashtriya Jagran Manch who had made some provocative remarks, a senior official told JKNT.A
