Jammu, April 28: Deeply anguished Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over Pahalgam terror attack of April 22nd told J&K legislative Assembly on Monday that this incident has jolted him so much that he didn’t know how to apologise to families of 26 tourists to whom he had invited to visit the Valley as tourism minister.
“ Although security of the UT and security measures were not the responsibility of my government but still I wanted to apologise because they were our guests and as tourism minister, I had invited them.”
Omar noted Jammu and Kashmir has seen many gruesome terror attacks on it’s soil – Kashmiri Pandita, Sikhs, Muslims, Amarnath pilgrims, yet the terror at Barisaran hit our soul to core”
“ We had nurtured a self belief that such attacks were a thing of the past, but Baisaran tragedy has revived the fear that what next is in store for us – next attack when and where.”
