The government has taken major decisions to boost the Saffron farming and its industry in Kashmir
According to tweet by Union Home Ministry the main steps are :
- Kashmir Saffron awarded Geographic Indication (GI) tag.
- Construction of International Kashmir Saffron Trade Centre (IIKSTC) at Pampore.
