Jammu, July 7:

BJP ‘s Central leadership has rubbished the reports that the party is engaged in breaking other parties to form a government in Jammu and Kashmir where it dislodged its erstwhile alliance partner PDP-led coalition government last month.

Replying  to a series of reports in media and social media retweeted by former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah accusing BJP of breaking PDP and other parties to regain power at any cost, BJP ‘s top leader Ram Madhav said that there is no truth in it.

Ram Madhav, BJP General Secretary and in charge of party’s J&K affairs tweeted on Saturday that he would ensure that the state unit of the BJP keeps itself “ scrupulously out of whatever is happening in other parties in the Valley.” This was his first and direct reference to the open revolt of more than half-a dozen legislators against PDP chief and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. Former minister Imran Raza Ansari started the revolt and is in touch with Sajjad Gani Lone who is being tipped as new head of the new government.

Ram Madhav also tweeted that his party is for continuation of the Governor’s rule in the interest of peace, governance and development in the State.”
