Civilian casualties also feared

A Sub-Inspector of Border Security Force (BSF) was killed and two other troopers injured when Pakistani troops initiated firing fr across the Line of Control LoC on at least three locations in North Kashmir prompting “befitting” retaliation by Indian forces.

According to BSF Spokesman , “Sub Inspector Rakesh Dobhal laid down his life while retaliating to Pakistani Ceasefire Violation”.

The Army sources said that two soldiers and three civilians were killed in Pakistani shelling from across the LoC in Uri sector.

Reports suggest that firing is going on at three places in North Kashmir.

Indian troops are responding in kind. More details are awaited

Meanwhile, sources told that about five persons were injured in Ceasefire violation in Saujian sector of Poonch District.

Three soldiers and a BSF trooper were killed in Firing in Machail sector on Sunday. Three infiltrating terrorists were also killed in that Firing.
