Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti today visited Government Medical College Hospital (GMCH) and Super-Specialty Hospital Jammu to enquire about the welfare of those injured in border shelling.
The Chief Minister visited the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency, Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Disaster, Orthopedic Surgery and other units of the hospitals and assessed the medicare facilities being provided to the injured. She interacted with the patients, the attendants and the doctors and enquired about the treatment being provided to the injured.
The Chief Minister asked the doctors to ensure best possible treatment to the injured. She said if any grievously injured patient is to be shifted outside the State for treatment, the Government will bear the expenses. She prayed for early recovery of the injured.
The Chief Minister was informed that 30 persons, including 1 year old child, injured in border shelling are undergoing treatment at GMCH Jammu and Super-Specialty Hospital
Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Baghat, Legislator, Anjum Fazili, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Pawan Kotwal, Secretary Health and Medical Education, M K Bhandari, IGP Jammu, Danesh Rana, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Simrandeep Singh, Principal GMC Jammu, Dr Zahid Gillani and other senior officers and doctors accompanied the Chief Minister.
