Congress MLC Naresh Gupta today threatened to resign from the Legislative council over the issue of Solar lights in the state. He accused the government for embezzlement in distribution of solar lights .
Gupta alleged that the solar lights which were provided by the central government was distributed on pick and choose basis to give benefit to their own people.
Calling the answer of the Minister for Science and Technology, Sajad Lone ‘Incomplete and Unsatisfactory’, Naresh Gupta said, “If my allegations proved wrong, I will not come again in the house and resign from the Council.”
After a heating argument between the opposition and the ruling party, all members of the opposition walked out of the house.
