The union finance ministry has announced that farmers can buy seeds for Rabi crop with old RS 500 notes.
They will have to show their ID proof of farmer and can buy seeds with old currency notes of Rs.500.
This announcement was made on Monday after the opposition raised issue about the plight of farmers.
