The ministry of civil aviation has increased flights to Srinagar from 60 to 70 per cent in view of the rising demand .

This decision has been taken to provide better access to the air travelers to Srinagar, as number of the travelers seeking to visit Kashmir has increased. The number of tourists has also doubled as compared the last month.

“ Last month 100 tourists were visiting Srinagar daily, this month the number has doubled – 200 daily,” a senior officer of the Tourism Department told J K News Today . “ We expect more tourists coming in the coming weeks as Kashmir is viewed as the most beautiful and peaceful destination in the country.”

There was a full in the tourist arrivals in the last few months. “ That jinx has been broken,” the official said.
