Jammu, November 19:

Four Pakistan based terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammad (jeM) got killed in an encounter with security forces early thursday morning. 11 AK rifles, three pistols and satellite phones were among the recoveries made from the killed terrorists who had freshly infiltrated from Pakistan across the International Border (IB) into Samba sector. They boarded a truck number JK 01AL 1055 from Samba and were on their way to Kashmir valley to carry out terrorist activities “with motive to disrupt ongoing DDC polls.”

Pakistan based terrorist Group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) is based at Bahawalpur in Pakistan and is exploiting the International Boundary area in Punjab – Jammu sector to push in maximum terrorists.

JeM’s primary motive is to separate Kashmir from India and merge it into Pakistan. Since its inception in 2000, the group has carried out several attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. It portrays Kashmir as a “gateway” to the entire India, whose Muslims are also deemed to be in need of liberation. After liberating Kashmir, it aims to carry its ‘Ghazawa-E-Hind (make all the Indians forcibly convert to Islam) to other parts of India, with an intent to drive Hindus and other non-Muslims from the Indian subcontinent. JeM was created with the support of Pakistan’s ISI which uses it to fight in Kashmir and other places, and continues to provide it backing. The JeM has been banned in Pakistan since 2002, but resurfaced under other names and continues to operate openly in Pakistan.

In sum – Pakistan remains focused on spreading terror
