Fourth terrorist was neutralized, whereas a cop suffered splinter injuries in the evenings on the second day of two-day long encounter at Poonch town of Jammu.
DIG Rajouri Poonch- Range, Johny Williams, said that security forces have neutralized one more terrorist today morning, the toll of killed terrorists reached 4, but the operation is still on, as there are chances of one or two more terrorists hiding inside under construction mini-secretariat building.
He added that there is no fire from inside the secretariat building since 2 pm, but our cordon is intact, we cannot take any risk, so will not call off the operation, till we will be satisfy that there is no more terrorist onside.
Bodies of the two slain terrorist have been retrieved, the sources said that large quantity of arms and ammunition was carrying by the dreaded terrorists and also recovered some other incriminating material like papers and route maps, which may help security agencies to investigate the case.
Sources said that SOG Poonch and Army have cordoned the area around mini secretariat and speculative fire is on, just to check location of the terrorist if present inside. A SOG jawan identify as Bashir also suffered splinter injuries in the evening, police sources added.
