Senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad has tested positive for Covid-19 today. Ghulam Nabi Azad said he is currently in in home quarantine.
“I have tested positive for Covid-19. I am in home quarantine. Those who came in contact with me in last few days may kindly follow the protocol,” he said in a tweet.
Ghulam Nabi Azad is among the several senior national leaders who have tested positive for Covid-19 so far.
On October 14, Samajwadi Party founder and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav tested positive for coronavirus. He was admitted to a private hospitalin Gurgaon and was asymptomatic.
Recently, Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu also tested positive for Covid-19 and has recovered since then.
Besides him, several Union ministers, including Home Minister Amit Shah too have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past two months.
