The indefinite pen down strike of Patwaries Association under the banner of All J&K Patwar Association entered 16 days, today.
The indefinite strike was started on May 14 and the protesting patwari said that the strike will remain continue till their demands are not met.
Like other previous days, today also the protest was held in the shape of peaceful dharna in front of SDM office at Gandoh and raise slogans in favour of their demands.
The protest was held under the leadership of Anayat Hussain zerger Sub Divisional president of Patwar Association Bhalessa .
The speakers said that they were assured of fulfilling their demands many times in the past by the concerned authorities but every time they were cheated and compelled to chose the path of agitation.
They asked the government to fulfill the demands of Patwar Association at the earliest, so that public may not suffer any more.
Reiterating their demands like grade pay for Graduate Patwaries, conducting timely DPC of Patwaries and Girdawars, creation of GQ Circles and Patwar halqas, ban on direct recruitment of Naib Tehsildar, enhancement of allowances for Patwaries and Girdawars, rent for Patwar Khanas (private accommodation) and construction of Patwar Khanas,
District vice president Mohd Iqbal butt, Tanveer Ahmed Gen- Secretary, Rayaz Ahmed, Khadam Patwari were also present.
