Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik is determined to go ahead with the urban local bodies and panchayat elections ignoring all the boycott calls given by some parties as he said that the process cannot be halted because of the problems that the political groups face from within.
Governor gave all these details in an interview to Doordarshan that was broadcast last night in a bid ti clear the air on the issue . He claimed that the Municipal or Panchayat elections will have no bearing on the outcome of the hearing of the Article 35 A in the Supreme Court.
“ That’s a legal issue and that has to be fought legally, Raj Bhavan doesn’t interfere in the legal matters,” Malik said clarifying that the legal process will not be interfered .
He also said that his idea of governance is to come heavily on the corruption in the administration .
