Hathras: The woman from Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras who died days after being gang raped and tortured, was strangled and suffered cervical spine injury, her autopsy report has said. The “final diagnosis” does not mention rape. The report has been accessed from the Delhi hospital where the 20-year-old died on Tuesday.
Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will visit Hathras in Uttar Pradesh today to meet the family of the 20-year-old woman and whose dead-of-night cremation by the UP police has provoked nationwide outrage. Ahead of their visit, prohibitory orders have been placed in Hathras.
