Jammu, March 21: As the crescent for the month of Ramadan was not sighted in Saudi Arabia, the holy month of fasting will begin on Thursday there.

The Taraweeh prayers will be offered from tomorrow onwards at both the holy Masjids at Makkah and Madina.

As the crescent was not sighted in Saudia Arabia, there are very few chances of the month of fasting beginning in the Indian subcontinent from Thursday. Though it is not binding but more chances are that it will begin here from Friday.

Muslims across the globe keep fast during this holy month and after completion they celebrate Eid.
